The NTG2 is a lightweight condenser shotgun microphone, designed for professional applications in film, video, television and broadcast. Its full frequency response, low noise and audio transparency makes it ideal in a range of applications including filmmaking, voice-over and streaming. It can operate either from P48 phantom power or via a removable AA battery for maximum flexibility in the studio or in the field. It also features a switchable high-pass filter for added flexibility.

Its low self-noise of 18 dBA and sensitive condenser element ensure clear, detailed audio without the hiss common in budget microphones. Additionally, its balanced XLR output supports longer cable runs than many camera-mounted shotgun mics.

Flexible Power Options
Equipped with a 3-pin XLR output, the NTG2 operates on either 48V phantom power or a single AA battery, making it compatible with a wide range of handheld recorders, field recorders, mixer adapters, and camera preamps.

Perfect for Boompole Mounting
The NTG2 comes with a mic clip for easy attachment to a mic stand or boompole. For enhanced vibration isolation in boompole or handheld use, pair it with the Rode SM4-R shockmount or PG2-R pistol grip (sold separately).
